A letter from this item's donor says, "By way of historical context, Aaron P. Christiansen was the eldest son of Parley Christiansen-whose journals you received earlier. Aaron followed in his father's footsteps and became a forest ranger for the Uinta National Forest and the Cache National Forest-both in Utah. In this role he made a number of significant contributions. For example, he built the first hiking trail to the top of Mt. Nebo in Juab County. And, he envisioned and began work on what ha...
